Book cover featuring a college campus Lewis & Clark is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company profiles and recommends L&C in the new edition of its annual college guide, The Best 390 Colleges: 2025 Edition (Penguin Random House, August 27, 2024).

Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,600 four-year colleges are profiled in the book. The Princeton Review makes its selections based on data it collects annually from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of college students attending the schools who report on their experiences at their institutions.

“Being named one of the Princeton Review’s Best Colleges for 2025 is a proud moment for our entire college community,” says President Robin Holmes-Sullivan. “This recognition highlights our unwavering focus on delivering an exceptional educational experience for all our students.”

The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book hierarchically, from 1 to 390. However, the book has 50 categories of ranking lists. The ranking lists are entirely based on The Princeton Review’s surveys of 168,000 students at the 390 schools profiled in the book.

Lewis & Clark appears on the following ranking lists in The Best 390 Colleges:

“Making the Green College Honor Roll is a notable accomplishment,” says Amy Dvorak, senior director of sustainability and communications. “It highlights our collective efforts to reduce our environmental impact and foster a culture of sustainability on campus.”

The guidebook also includes more general praise of the college:
