Lewis & Clark Cappella Nova and Community Chorale choirs will be featured on All Classical Portland (89.9 FM) on Sunday, June 15, at 1 p.m. The episode of Played in Oregon can be heard online at allclassical.org.

The episode is a recording of the concert of composer Morten Lauridsen’s music that took place in Trinity Cathedral on November 9, 2013.

Cappella Nova performs Mid-Winter Songs, with accompanist Stephanie Thompson performing the notably difficult piano part. The performance is conducted by Assistant Professor of Music Katherine FitzGibbon.

The Community Chorale performs Lux Aeterna with members of the Oregon Symphony, conducted by Justin Smith. The recording concludes with “Sure on This Shining Night,” conducted by FitzGibbon with Lauridsen at the piano.
