Summary:

Oregon voters may soon pass a ballot measure allowing workers in the cannabis industry to unionize. Some see the measure as necessary because federal law governing labor organizing may not apply given federal regulation of marijuana as a controlled substance.  “Labor organizations in the 21st century are increasingly looking for ways to build membership,” notes Lewis & Clark Professor Keith Cunningham-Parmeter, “and this is a novel approach to help achieve that end.”
