Photography

Lewis & Clark does not have a staff photographer, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have wonderful photos that capture the look and feel of our campuses! We have an extensive digital library of images taken by professional photographers for use in your communications.

If you need professional photos for a project you are working on, the Office of Communications can help in a variety of ways:

  1. Download what you need from our Image Media Bank on Google Drive. This is a collection of “best of” shots from around the institution. These images are sorted by category—athletics, overseas, academics, etc.—and are refreshed on a regular basis.
  2. Request images from our digital library. If you don’t see what you need on Google Drive, we can dig a little deeper. Email Associate Vice President for Communications Stacey Kim with a good description of what you’re looking for and what it’s for, and she’ll help you out.
  3. Specific image request? We can help! Our office works with several professional photographers on a freelance basis and can coordinate photography for your event. We’re also happy to point you in the direction of a professional photographer or help you find a student on your own when that makes the most sense! Email Stacey to get started.

Images for Print

If you are providing our office with a photo for a print project or are printing something on your own, be mindful of resolution issues. The bigger the file, the better it is for print purposes. To ensure good quality for publication, it is important to make sure all digital images are at least 5 inches by 7 inches at 300 dpi.
