Stacey Kim
Associate Vice President for Communications
As the associate vice president for communications, Stacey heads up a team that helps Lewis & Clark tell its story. Waxing poetic about the many things that make the college great comes naturally to her: she’s a 1994 L&C alumna and native Portlander who has loved the college since she first visited campus as a high school senior.
After L&C, she traveled the world as a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon, Central Africa; graduate student in Monterey, California; and translator in Paris before working for 10 years as an editor in Boston. The pull of Portland finally proved too strong, and she moved back to town in 2009. She worked for five years in Reed College’s public affairs office until she was hired for her dream job at Lewis & Clark.
Outside of work, her first love is going on adventures near and far with her boy/girl twins. She also enjoys running (she’s done Hood to Coast and the Portland Marathon, but her favorite distance is the half), reading (contemporary fiction, long-form journalism, and whatever Atul Gawande writes), and cooking (anything and everything!).
Communications is located in McAfee on the Undergraduate Campus.
