Visiting Lewis & Clark is the best way to get to know us. Our three campuses—undergraduate, graduate, and law—are nestled in a forest just six miles from downtown Portland, and we have a free shuttle that will take you there.

Take a Campus Tour

Our undergraduate campus spans a ravine and is surrounded by trees, giving you ample space to explore and connect with nature. Our law school is located next door to Tryon Creek State Park, which is where you’ll find members of our community hiking the 13 miles of stunning nature trails. And our graduate school has an expansive green lawn that serves as a backyard, commonly listed as our students’ favorite place on campus. It’s also where our bee garden is housed!

Take a Virtual Tour

I visited campus before deciding to come to L&C. It gave me a really good sense as to what my routine would look like here, where my classes would be, and where residence halls are located. My visit really certified my want to be a student at L&C.

Cheer on Your Peers

Almost 20 percent of our undergraduates compete on our 21 varsity sports teams. Attending games to cheer on your peers is a great way to spend time with friends, build community, and show your school spirit. Full athletics schedule.

Explore Portland

Lewis & Clark is located in the lush hills of South Portland, the city’s “sixth quadrant.” But our beautiful campuses aren’t the entire story—our location offers something that most other schools do not: an ideal setting in a vibrant, progressive city with endless networking, entertainment, and cultural resources.

My favorite thing about Portland is the weather and how different it is from where I grew up, Las Vegas. I welcome the rain.

My favorite thing about living in Portland are all of the great neighborhoods! I can always find a cute coffee shop, thrift store, or bookstore to spend my afternoons when I’m free from class. There are so many food carts to get a great meal from, and there are great concert venues in the city as well.

Spring Break: Redwoods and Tidepools

Come stay in Redwood National Park for Spring Break! We’ll spend the week hiking through huge redwood forests and stunning beaches on the Pacific Ocean. We’ll also visit magnificent tidepools along the Southern Oregon and Northern California coast. You can expect to see majestic trees, wildflowers, elk, cormorants, egrets, and other wildlife. In the evenings, we’ll have time play games, socialize, read, and relax. The main lodge where we stay has a huge kitchen for cooking meals, great resources for learning about redwood ecology, and hot showers, too! This trip returns to campus late Friday, but ends Saturday after brunch and required clean-up activities Saturday morning. Redwoods are the tallest living things in the world – don’t miss this opportunity to live among them for a week! You can get one activity credit in PE/A 101, “Outdoor Adventures” for participation during this trip as long you register prior to drop/add and complete a drop/add form.
