Aurelio is Mexico-born, Texas-raised, and SoCal-educated. Aurelio joins Lewis & Clark for his next phase of life as an Education Technology Specialist in the Pacific Northwest. He has a vast background of experience with intersections in education, technology, media, and communications, with a knack for discovering and implementing new tools and technologies. Aurelio holds a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies dual Film with a Leadership Studies Sequence and a master’s degree in Instructional Design & Technology.
As a self-described renaissance man or Swiss army knife. Aurelio has a passion for technology, cooking, film, mead, tinkering, gardening, electric mobility, accessibility, and liberal arts education.
Aurelio hopes to increase digital literacy across campus and help embrace the use of digital devices in class. This increased use of technology in the classroom expands to exciting collaboration with departments across campus on interdisciplinary projects. Aurelio is excited to see the Arts expand within STEAM education and has many ideas for the ways in which technology can be used as a support joint.
