The Lewis & Clark Off-Campus and Overseas Study Program is one of Lewis & Clark’s signature programs, giving students a global perspective in an increasingly complex world. However, for students from underserved communities, accessing these transformative experiences can be financially difficult.

The last wish of the late Kimberli Ransom BA ’91, who died from metastatic breast cancer in 2022, was to encourage all L&C students to travel and participate in overseas education opportunities to expand their global vision. She didn’t want finances to be the barrier for their experience.

Thanks to the joint effort of Mojgan “Mo” Sami BA ’91 and Jack Lewis BA ’66—as well as the generosity of other donors—the Kimberli Ransom BA ’91 Overseas Scholarship will make its first award to support a student from an underserved community to study abroad during academic year 2024–25.

To date, we’ve raised nearly $80,000 for this scholarship. Consider a gift to help us exceed our goal of $100,000!
