Women’s cross country and men’s golf have already made history this fall. Both programs earned their first team victories in at least seven years in early September.

Women’s cross country finished in first place out of seven teams at the Ash Creek Collegiate Meet to post their first team victory since September 1, 2017. Senior Riley Buese and junior Malia Heien finished first and second, and all five Pioneers finished in the top 22. Buese became the first-ever cross country runner to earn National Runner of the Week honors after winning both the individual and team title.

Men’s golf has a brand-new look and a tournament win to go with it. Lewis & Clark added six new players who made an immediate impact at the Pines Cup against Pacific University. All nine men’s golfers won at least one of their matches to help the team earn a 12-6 win in the match-play tournament. It was men’s golf’s first tournament win since at least 2009.
