This spring marked the grand opening of the newly renovated Huston Memorial Sports Complex and the dedication of Jerry Gatto Field, named after the legendary L&C baseball coach. Originally built as a practice and intramural facility, Huston was upgraded to the permanent home of L&C baseball and softball in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It’s received occasional modifications over the years and was last updated in 2010.
With this renovation, Huston Sports Complex is officially a multifunctional facility. In addition to baseball and softball, L&C is now able to offer men’s and women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, additional on-campus club sports, and intramural spaces. It promises to be a valued home for generations of student-athletes to come.
