main content Main Stage Production
Just as Marie Antoinette’s reign was cut short in real life, so was the depiction of her life on Lewis & Clark’s main stage.
Even though COVID-19 shortened its run, Marie Antoinette, directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Rebecca Lingafelter, proved to be a big hit with audiences.
“The play asks, ‘What is your capacity to change?’” says Lingafelter. “I think it’s a profoundly important question right now, whether it’s coronavirus or climate change or societal change —we’re all living inside of these extreme paradigm shifts.”
