Alumni Weekend June 19-22
Enjoy Summer in Portland
Alumni Weekend is just around the corner, and you won’t want to miss Lewis & Clark’s biggest alumni event of the year! Hundreds of your classmates are already registered, and it’s not too late to join them. Even if you’re not celebrating a reunion, come to campus for the events open to all classes, including Alumni College, the Northwest Salmon Bake and BBQ, live bands, karaoke, tours, and more. To register—and to view the list of alumni who have already signed up—visit the website below.
Class Reunions
Reconnect with classmates from these graduation years: 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 2004, and 2009. If you graduated the year before or after, you’re invited to join in the class events as well.
Overseas and Off-Campus Program Reunions
Relive your adventures with trip mates and program leaders. More than 15 reunions are planned from years around the milestone reunions being celebrated. See the complete list at the website below.
Special Reunions
Several special reunions will be held during Alumni Weekend: a theatre reunion for graduates from the mid-’60s to mid-’80s, featuring Professor Emeritus of Theatre Edgar Reynolds; a retirement brunch for longtime staff member and former Dean of Students Michael Ford; an Outdoor School Reunion featuring adjunct instructor Mary Lou Hunter BS ’59; and a reception for international and third-culture kids (TCK) alumni.
Albany Society Bash
All alumni are invited to an event honoring the classes of 1954 and 1959, and featuring the induction of the class of 1964 to the Albany Society, an honorary organization of Lewis & Clark alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago.
Faculty and Alumni Speakers
We’ve invited experts from the Lewis & Clark community to share their knowledge at sessions throughout the weekend. Hear from current and retired professors, including Janet Davidson, Kathy FitzGibbon, Cyrus Partovi BA ’67, Jim Proctor, and Kim Stafford. Alumni Jan Boutin BS ’64, Dave Grube BA ’69, and Matt Wuerker BA ’79 will share stories based on their work and projects.
Alumni Choir
Do you like to sing? You are invited to join the Alumni Choir at Reunion Weekend! Rehearsals are scheduled on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for a Saturday performance.
President’s Welcome and Breakfast
Have breakfast with President Barry Glassner and hear about recent accomplishments of students, alumni, and faculty as well as exciting new developments at Lewis & Clark.
Activities for the Whole Family
Bring your family to Reunion Weekend! It’s filled with events for the all ages, including the Pio Carnival, a Tryon Creek hike, a parade, and more.
All-Class Northwest Salmon Bake and BBQ
You won’t want to miss the weekend’s cornerstone event, the Northwest salmon bake and barbecue, complete with live music and fresh-caught salmon prepared over an open fire pit by members of the Warm Springs Tribe.
