Focus on New Teachers
Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling recently published its latest edition of Democracy & Education, a quarterly journal designed to enhance and reflect on the teaching and learning of democracy.
The theme of the fall issue is “New Teachers: How to Implement and Sustain Your Belief in Democratic Education.” The journal includes articles on connectedness among new teachers, advances in mentorship, and teacher retention, as well as reviews of books on related topics.
Nancy Nagel, associate dean and professor of education, and Peter Cookson, dean and professor of educational administration, edit the journal.
