Volk Leads Fund-Raising

Greg Volk, who has more than 25 years of experience in higher education resource development, has joined Lewis & Clark as vice president for institutional advancement. In his new position, he oversees development, alumni relations, and communications efforts at the College.
Volk was most recently executive vice president of Lawrence University, a private liberal arts college in Wisconsin. He served as both chief advancement officer and chief financial officer at Lawrence. Over the years, Volk has won recognition for his skill, vision, and passion in building highly successful advancement programs and has led three capital campaigns whose total goals exceeded $250 million.
“Lewis & Clark is a remarkable place with extraordinarily dedicated trustees, faculty, staff, and alumni,” says Volk. “I look forward to working with each member of the Lewis & Clark family in building a culture of philanthropy that will enable the College to conduct its mission and realize its vision for the future.”
Prior to his career at Lawrence, Volk worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, DePaul University, and the University of Chicago. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College, a master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and a master’s in business administration from the American Graduate School of International Management.
Volk and his wife, Margaretta, have two children: Colin, 26, and Charlotte, 22.
