How to get started with VPN at Lewis & Clark
Lewis & Clark requires the GlobalProtect application to connect to the VPN service. Users are currently required to obtain approval before they can access GlobalProtect/VPN.
To request VPN access, please email us at itservice@lclark.edu.
To install the GlobalProtect application, please follow these steps.
- Go to https://gp.lclark.edu
- Sign in with your Lewis & Clark account.
- Click the link to download the installer appropriate for your computer
- Open the file that downloaded and follow the steps in the installer.
Once installed, select the GlobalProtect icon in your menu bar or task bar to continue.
- For the Portal, enter:
gp.lclark.edu - Choose Connect.
- If this is the first time you have connected to the VPN service with this computer, or if it has been awhile since your last connection, you will be prompted to enter your LC credentials.
- GlobalProtect will now open a web page using your computer’s default Web browser to complete the logon process. Please select an option below that matches your computer situation as each Web browser provides a slightly different experience.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may check the box to always allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may check the box to always allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may check the box to always allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may check the box to always allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may choose to Always Allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
- Your browser will open and take you to the LC single sign on tool, currently called Arculix.
- Follow the Arculix sign-on prompts
- When complete, accept the browser prompt to open GlobalProtect
- You may check the box to always allow this action in the future
- You are now connected to the Lewis & Clark VPN service.
