Hypothes.is Social Annotation
Hypothesis is an easy-to-use social annotation tool installed directly in Moodle. Adding Hypothesis to your Moodle readings places collaborative active discussion right on top of course content, enabling collaborative notetaking, critique, tagging, and conversations in the margins of texts you can view on the web. Benefits of social annotation of texts include improved understanding, enhanced learning, better communication, and increased engagement. Hypothesis recently published a research white paper focused on the value of social annotation for teaching and learning.
