Visiting Campus

Lewis & Clark College is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all campus visitors and community members. If you are planning a visit or are attending Lewis & Clark and require disability-related access or accommodations, please contact the Admissions Office at the appropriate campus location as early as possible to discuss your needs. Advance notice helps ensure that appropriate arrangements can be made.

A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available for short-term use through the Health Center.  Visitors who require additional mobility support may wish to rent equipment from local providers such as McCann’s Medical, which offers pickup at its Tigard location or delivery to campus.

Lewis & Clark’s campus, originally the site of a historic manor and located along a hillside and ravine, presents both unique beauty and structural challenges. The College is actively working to improve physical accessibility through its Campus Master Plan, which outlines current and future development projects with accessibility in mind.

Over the past two decades, meaningful upgrades have been made across all three campuses to increase building access and inclusive design. An evolving Campus Accessibility Map is available to guide individuals along accessible pathways and entry points. This map is regularly updated as renovations and improvements are made.

While many areas of campus are accessible, some facilities may still have barriers. Students who anticipate disability-related access needs, whether visible or non-apparent, are encouraged to contact the Office of Student Accessibility (OSA) as soon as they have enrolled or registered for classes. Early disclosure allows OSA staff to work collaboratively with students to implement individualized accommodations and, when needed, coordinate classroom relocations or other supports to ensure equitable access.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing commitment. Our goal is to partner with individuals to provide timely, reasonable accommodations and to promote full participation in all campus activities.
