Channing Dodson
Visiting Instructor
Hello! My name is Channing Dodson, and it is pleasure to welcome you to the academic community of AES and Lewis & Clark College. I consider myself fortunate to work in such an inspiring environment of motivated students and skilled, friendly colleagues.
In addition to having the pleasure of teaching at Lewis & Clark in the AES program, I am also a graduate of the college. I studied history and Japanese and graduated in 2001. After graduation, I spent more than two years teaching English in Japan before returning to Oregon for graduate school. I have also lived abroad in Scotland and Ireland, and I have traveled in Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and various parts of the U.S. and Canada. That may sound like a lot, but there are still many other places in the world that I would love to see. In addition to travel, I enjoy playing music, watching movies, reading, studying foreign languages, cooking, and gardening.
