Souzane Murekatete

Souzane is the 15th recipient of the Dallaire Scholarship for English language study for Rwandans committed to social justice. Souzane is an entrepreneur for change in Rwanda. In 2016 she founded Iriza-Ntako Heritage, Ltd., a cooperative that trains Rwandan women in traditional weaved basket designs — and then puts their weaving skills to good use by creating sustainable weaved products for the international market.
