Citations

To appeal a ticket, submit your appeal online at the Transportation and Parking permit page within 10 days of the citation issue date. The system will send a confirmation when the appeal has been received. All appeals are then submitted for Administrative Review. Students, faculty, or staff with questions about the process should contact Transportation and Parking.

If a citation has not been paid or appealed within 10 days, the fine is posted to the college accounts of Lewis & Clark students, faculty, or staff.

 

Parking Violations and Citation Fines

Parking violation types and citations fines are outlined in the table below. Citations may be presented to the owner/operator in person or placed on the windshield. Pay citations at the Transportation & Parking online portal.

Parking fines for the same violation incurred within a term increase for each successive violation. Parking violation fines are automatically charged to College accounts of Lewis & Clark students, faculty, and staff. Charges are reversed if an appeal of the violation notice is granted.

Booting and Towing of Vehicles

• A vehicle is subject to a boot if the vehicle is unregistered with 2+ unpaid citations.
• After the 2nd citation a boot warning flier will be left with citation stating a boot will be added on next citation. 
• On the 3rd offense, a boot will be added to the driver front wheel. Instructions will be left under the wiper on how to contact Campus Safety Dispatch to request the boot to be removed.

• To have boot removed simply provide your name and ID so that we may register your vehicle. 
  • Payment (of citations) is NOT required to have boot removed. 
• Transportation & Parking will void up to 2 (excluding Fire Lane & ADA violations) citations in exchange for the purchase of a permit. 
• If there is an attempt to damage, steal, and/or remove the boot a $250.00 will be added and your vehicle will be towed the next time the vehicle is found on campus.
