Study Skills Workshops
OSA’s Study Skills Workshops are a recurring series of workshops designed to help you maximize your studying effectiveness. The series is presented once per semester and is open to all Lewis & Clark students on all three campuses.

Notetaking Methods: Tuesday, October 1st, 3:30pm - Learn how to take amazing notes you’ll actually use! You’ll learn about five different notetaking methods, and how to determine what’s important enough to write down.
Project Planning/Time Management: Tuesday, October 15th, 3:30pm - Learn how to chunk large assignments, plan out your day/week/semester, structure your study time, and stay motivated.
Executive Functions: Tuesday, October 29th, 3:30pm - Tips and tricks for specific areas of executive functioning.
Exam Study Strategies: Tuesday, November 12th, 3:30pm - Learn how to study for different types of exams, how to set yourself up for exam success on day one of the semester, and day-of-exam tips.
All workshops will be held in Albany 207 (campus accessibility map). Snacks and cookies provided!

Notetaking: Covers five note taking methods (Cornell, Outline, Concept Map, Chart, Sentence), as well as how to determine what’s important enough to write down when taking notes
Project Planning/Time Management: Covers how to break a large assignment down into smaller chunks, helpful tools for planning out your day/week/semester and structuring your study time, and strategies for when motivation or focus is low
Executive Functions: Covers definition of executive functions, tips and ideas to improve five specific areas of executive function (Prioritizing, Organizing, Attention/Inhibition, Task Initiation, and Flexibility/Shifting)
Exam Study Strategies: Covers how to study for exams both now and in the future, day-of-exam tips, and how to study for different types of exams.
