Lewis & Clark understands that exam schedules may conflict with accommodations. If this happens, please follow the OSA Final Exam Scheduling Policy below to plan your exams.
Important Details:
- Exams must be taken during the final exam period with small adjustments in start/end times if needed.
- OSA does not proctor exams on Reading Days.
- All OSA Proctored exams must by schedule by the Semester Deadline.

- Office Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

- 12:00 PM
- 1:00 PM
- 1:30 PM
- 3:00 PM
- 4:30 PM
Scheduling for Time-and-a-Half Accommodations:
Two Exams in One Day:
- First Exam: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Break: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
- Second Exam: 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Three Exams in One Day:
- Action: Reschedule one exam for a different day by contacting one of your professors.
Evening Exams:
- Option 1: Start your exam at 1:30 PM at OSA.
- Option 2: Start your exam at 4:30 PM with OSA and finish with your class at 6:00 PM.
- Create a Plan: Work with your faculty to create a plan. Submit the OSA exam request form to notify OSA.
Scheduling for Double-Time Accommodations:
Example for a 1:00 PM Class Exam:
- Start at 12:00 PM with OSA proctoring.
Two Exams in One Day:
- Action: Reschedule one exam for a different day by contacting one of your professors.
Evening Exams:
- Option 1: Start at 12:00 PM with OSA.
- Option 2: Start at 3:00 PM with OSA and finish with your class at 6:00 PM.
- Create a Plan: Work with your faculty and submit the OSA exam request form to notify OSA.
- Carolin Thompson is our exam coordinator. Exam-related questions may be sent to access@lclark.edu or call 503-768-7192 during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- If you have never met with someone in our office, do not use this form.
- Exam/Quiz Proctoring Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:15 am - 4:00 pm. If your exam falls outside of these hours, talk with your professor for an alternate start time before filling out the Exam Request Form.
- Exams reservations should be made 5 days in advance (14 days in advance for final exams).
- Late Exam Reservation: 2 days before an exam by 12:00 pm (or 12:00 pm on Thursday for Monday exams). Exams scheduled after this Noon deadline two days before an exam will be cancelled and you will need to take it with the class without exam accommodations.
- Exams must begin the same day/time as your class unless you have professor approval to take it at an alternate time due to a schedule conflict.
- If you are cancelling an exam reservation with our office please email access@lclark.edu at least two hours before your exam start time.
- If you are rescheduling a previously submitted exam request form, please email access@lclark.edu at least two hours before your exam start time with the updated exam start time and date. Do not fill out another Exam Request Form.
- If your exam is a take home exam the library study rooms may be an alternative place than testing in your dorm room. We do not proctor take home exams or any exams that are not being monitored by a professor or an alternate.

If you are unable to fill out the following form online please email access@lclark.edu the following information to schedule your exam:
- your first and last name;
- exam date and start time;
- your start time if different than the class start time;
- professor first and last name;
- course name and number; and
- length of the exam.
