Originally known as the “International Party”, the International Fair began at Lewis & Clark College in 1965 and was designed to provide an opportunity for international students in the Portland metro-area to gather in community.  Over the years the International Fair grew in popularity and size as it expanded to feature students sharing food, dances, music, history, and cultural traditions from around the world.

While the scale and scope of the International Fair has changed over the years, particularly in the post-COVID era, one thing remains true:  as the signature event of the International Students of Lewis & Clark (ISLC) student organization, the annual International Fair event is one of the most popular and highly anticipated events on campus each year.
