Leaving the College
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your dedicated service to Lewis & Clark College. As you embark on your next journey, we wish you the very best. To facilitate a seamless transition, below is a list of actions and reminders to assist you.
Please submit a formal notice of resignation or retirement via email to hr@lclark.edu at least two weeks in advance. Ensure that your last day of work is clearly stated, reflecting the actual date you’ll be working until.
Please complete the appropriate tasks within the timeframe defined in the checklist.

Employee Separation Checklist
All employees (Staff, Faculty, and Retirees), please make sure to complete the checklist with your supervisor or department’s Executive Admin. -
Supervisor & EA Offboarding Checklist
This checklist is for the Supervisor or Department Executive Admin to complete for the Staff or Faculty who are leaving
- Benefits end the last day of the month in which you work.
- Information on continuing medical/dental coverage through COBRA will be mailed to your home from Cobra Management Services.

Final paycheck will be direct deposited on your last day of employment. If you do not have direct deposit, you can pick up your check at the
Human Resources Office
.
- Any unused vacation up to the maximum allowance, based on current college policy or collective bargaining agreement will be paid out on your final paycheck.
As a retiree you keep your ID card and access to:
- Campus Library
- Athletic Facilities
- L&C Events
Lewis & Clark Regence Group Medicare Advantage Plan
Regence Medicare plan is an employer group plan offered through Lewis & Clark, providing our retirees with several advantages over standard options in the open market. For instance, this plan offers nationwide coverage, so you won’t need to change plans if you move to a different county.
While we’re happy to have this option available for our retirees, please note that Lewis & Clark no longer administers the plan. Payments are made directly to Regence.
