It’s that time of year again for our annual Open Enrollment for benefits! This year, no plans are being removed or added, but there are updates to some of the existing plans. You do not need to take action in Workday unless you wish to change your plans.
Considering changing plans?
- All benefit changes during Open Enrollment must be completed online in Workday.
- You will receive an email notification and an item in your Workday inbox on Monday, February 17, 2025, to begin the enrollment process.
- The Benefits Fair will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, where you can learn more about your benefits options.
- The Open Enrollment period will close on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
- All changes will be effective April 1, 2025, and updated contributions will be deducted from your March 2025 paycheck.
What’s New in 2025?
- Kaiser HMO: Deductible increases by $250, out of pocket max increases by $500 (no changes to copays or coinsurance)
- Kaiser HMO Plus: Deductible increases by $250, out of pocket max increases by $500 (no changes to copays or coinsurance)
- Kaiser Added Choice PPO: Deductible increases by $250, out of pocket max increases by $500 (no changes to copays or coinsurance)
- Kaiser HDHP: Deductible increases by $300, out of pocket max increases by $500
- Willamette Dental: Office visits increase to $15 per visit, Comprehensive Orthodontia Treatment increases to a $2000 copay

Important Open Enrollment Reminders

Domestic Partner Coverage: Medical and dental coverage for domestic partners is deducted post-tax. Employees will be responsible for taxes on the additional amount Lewis & Clark College contributes towards the coverage for a domestic partner and their covered children.

Waiver Incentive: Employees who waive medical coverage will receive a $50 monthly stipend.

Spousal/Domestic Partner Surcharge:
- If your spouse or domestic partner is eligible for medical coverage through their employer and chooses to enroll in Lewis & Clark’s medical benefits, a monthly surcharge of $50.00 will be deducted from your paycheck.
- If your spouse or domestic partner is not eligible for medical coverage through an employer, no monthly surcharge will apply when they enroll in Lewis & Clark’s medical benefits.
- To waive the spousal/domestic partner surcharge, you must complete the Spouse/Domestic Partner Surcharge Affidavit.
