Celebrate the end of the school year with a May trip to some of the Cascades’ most iconic mountains!
After a day of rest and relaxation after move-out, we’ll practice snow travel and mountaineering skills, followed by summit attempt of a Cascade volcano! This trip includes car camping at established sites, as well as backcountry camping with limited resources.
Pre-Requisites:
- WFR or higher
- Ability to hike approximately 7 miles with 3,000 ft of elevation gain
- Able to carry up to 30 lbs in a backpack for up to 10 hours
- Can commit to logging a certain number of hiking miles in a fitness app in the two months leading up to the trip
