My UWC experience was definitely marked by a profound array of emotions that were new and very impactful. I had the freedom to be fully authentic while being surrounded by a diverse group of people. This personal growth and community support created a very transformative environment where I was continuously challenged and inspired, helping me on the understanding of the world and myself.

Lewis & Clark drew my attention over its unique location and the exceptional opportunities it offers, particularly in the field of Environmental Studies. Alongside its strong commitment to environmental issues and the approach towards them.

I plan to major in environmental studies because I feel passionate about understanding the various approaches for addressing environmental issues. I want to gain knowledge and the necessary skills to educate others about the challenges our planet faces and inspire collective action towards them.

Outside of the classroom I’m very passionate about dancing and physical sports such as ultimate frisbee and volleyball. I really enjoy taking quiet walks around campus. I really like trying new things, like the time I joined the touch rugby team.

During my time at UWC, three friends and I organized a backpacking trip around east Africa, getting to know more about Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. I’ve also been to Brazil, Argentina, France and The Netherlands. At Lewis & Clark I want to explore the different opportunities that will allow me to know myself better.
