My name is Barbuchi, and I am from Western Sahara. I recently graduated from UWCEA Arusha. The idea of going to another country and representing my community, which many people are not familiar with, seemed like a crazy idea. Presenting on behalf of my people was daunting, but I did it. Attending UWC was an experience that opened many doors for me. An unforgettable memory was the footprint we left as the class of 2024. Personally, sharing my beliefs and culture with others and living with them was the best part.
When I started the university application process, I wanted a school with a diverse background and an international environment, and Lewis & Clark was the best option for that. I want to major in Computer Science, a dream I’ve had since I was young. I have always been interested in information technology and the business world, both of which I find fascinating. I also enjoy activities and games that require active participation and communication with others. Additionally, I am eager to learn about different backgrounds, countries, and religions.
One of my many goals is to travel to at least one country on each continent. Attending Lewis & Clark will mark my third continent, and I am very confident it will be a great experience filled with memories. I want to leave a positive legacy for myself and my community.
