Attending and getting to be part of the UWC community was the most pleasant experience that came to me. I have met lots of incredible people from diverse backgrounds and cultures which create tons of new experiences for me. Having to understand the UWC values that affect me as a citizen of the world and being able to share them to the world.
Lewis & Clark contains such a great outdoor education program especially for my course, Environmental studies. Along with a diverse community that allows me to develop myself into an even better person.
At Lewis & Clark, I think I will major in Environmental studies. After taking DT for the past 5 years in UWC, I have come to realize that understanding and learning about the environment. Curiosity toward human activities toward the environment and trying to find solutions become more sustainable, eg. in my hometown that is full of nature. However, there was some development that has ruined the beauty of nature and rare animal habitats.
I like all the physical activities such as sports, gym and hiking. I love to create and design products. I once repaired a bike for my friend who had gotten in an accident. I had to use my dad’s motorcycle tool and my own money to fix the bike to surprise him.
I have been to Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. I only started to travel abroad when I got a scholarship to Singapore when I was 15 due to financial problems. And sadly, was hit which limited my option to travel. Reason I went to visit my neighbour’s countries is because I learned about UWC values, which I should have applied to.
