UWC attended: Mahindra United World College of India
Class Year: 2027
My name is Jdeiya, I am a Saharawi (from western Sahara), but I was born and raised in Algeria. In 2021, my UWC journey began, and the idea of studying alongside people from diverse countries and backgrounds captivated me. The prospect of a fresh approach to learning, different from my previous school, ignited my curiosity for a global perspective.

At UWC Mahindra, I found myself immersed in a transformative experience. The diverse community exposed me to a rich tapestry of cultures and global issues through engaging activities like regional weeks and global affairs discussions.

Looking ahead, I am drawn to the opportunities offered by the Lewis and Clark community. I envision an environment that fosters meaningful connections with fellow students and esteemed faculty. My passion for international relations drives my aspiration to contribute significantly to resolving the conflict in my home country and promoting global peace.

Though my travels have been limited, I am eager to explore new places and immerse myself in different cultures whenever the chance arises.
I enjoy learning languages, reading, and taking long naps.
