Hey! My name is Leilani and I am originally from Mexico City. I graduated from UWCiM in 2022 but took a gap year traveling the world and working at a summer camp before coming to L&C. I have travelled throughout Europe and a little bit of Africa and Asia by Semester at Sea, a study/travel gap year program, and I am now ready to explore the beauty of the US. I am also super excited to attend college here and get to experience being a Pioneer!
When I first started looking for a university I mainly looked for a place where I could make meaningful bonds. A college with smaller classes and a big international community, like Lewis and Clark, sounded like my cup of tea. I was looking forward to majoring in Psychology and hopefully a double major in International Affairs. During my time at Mostar I took Psychology HL and did my EE in the subject. I’m particularly interested in the intricacies of Abnormal and Social Psychology.
Besides psychology my hobbies include swimming, reading and musical theater. All activities I was able to partake in during my time at UWCiM. It is here where I created the best memories, surrounded by caring friends and teachers. I am a very extroverted person and thrive when surrounded by people. I always strive to be happy and kind, a try to make as many friends as I can!
I am hoping to find my people here, at Lewis and Clark, make long lasting friendships and grow as a person. I want to learn as much as I can while surrounded by amazing people with different views and experiences. Something I know I’ll find at L&C.
