Sparking Safety: Upgrading Fire Systems in Forest Res Halls!

We’re excited to announce that Copeland and Platt Residence Halls received new, modern fire detectors and the Forest residence halls are on schedule to be upgraded summer of 2024! As part of our phased capital plan, we’ll be upgrading the fire panels across all residential halls to the state-of-the-art Honeywell 6800 system. This addressable panel meets current fire codes and can pinpoint exactly where issues arise, ensuring enhanced safety for everyone.

By phasing out the old panels and introducing these modern devices, we’ll be meeting today’s fire life safety codes and requirements. This means a safer, smarter living environment for all our residents. Safety first, always!
