BoDine to acquire a new Sterilizing Autoclave

Focus Areas: BoDine 201

Anticipated installation and completion: August 30, 2023

Sterilizing autoclave machines use heat and pressure to destroy ‘germs’ – more specifically, unwanted, microorganisms, contaminants, and/or proteins. Autoclaves are essential, critical equipment for laboratory courses and research labs in the multiple disciplines of Biology. In labs and lab classes, dishware and materials are used daily and must be thoroughly cleaned/sterilized via autoclaving.

The Biology department’s new autoclave has been ordered, and we are expecting delivery and installation to be complete for Fall semester instruction!
