Dann Disciglio (b.1993) is an intermedia artist whose research-oriented practice investigates contemporary ecologies through both analog and digital technology. Disciglio works with and for non-human subjects (such as trees, plants, grass, molds, and bacteria) to create sonic performances and compositions, multimedia installations, sculptures, and texts in which future-naturalisms are encountered. He holds a BA from Hampshire College (2015) in art and media theory and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Sound Department (2019). Disciglio has shown work and performed in New York City, Chicago, Boston, Vienna, Zürich, Leipzig, Iceland, and Panama City and has published texts in the Journal of Visual Culture (SAGE) and the Minding Nature journal.
