At UWC I enjoyed the sense of community that was created throughout my time there. Incorporating CAS throughout my MYP and DP time made it the most enjoyable. I also enjoyed the leadership opportunities that were given to us as students.
My dad attended Lewis and Clark during his undergraduate years. This is what initially led me into looking at it. After further research and calls with staff, I realized that L&C would be a perfect fit for me. Additionally, I plan on continuing my swimming path during college and both the team and Coach Murillo were very welcoming and generous. All these factors made me consider Lewis and Clark as my top choice.
I will do a major in health studies, and a pre-health course as I would like to be a sports doctor or physician. This has been a dream of mine since I was thirteen. I will also look into international relations as it is a course that interests me.
I am a national swimmer for Sri Lanka and have competed in several World Championships and the most recent Tokyo Olympics 2021. Therefore, outside the classroom, I plan on training with the Lewis and Clark team. I also hope to join a club and explore the city with friends during my free time. I really love photography and spontaneous adventures.
I have traveled quite a bit due to my swimming competitions. A few countries I have been to are Japan, Korea, Hungary, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. I have been blessed to be able to travel the world doing what I love.
During my time at Lewis & Clark, I hope to qualify for my second Olympics, begin a path towards becoming a doctor, make new friends, and go on many adventures.
