Bryan Sebok
Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Media Studies
Bryan Sebok is a media scholar and filmmaker whose work focuses on narrative and documentary cinema as well as educational gaming. Professor Sebok’s published works explore shifts in the media industry centered around technological change, authorship, and genre. He is co-principal investigator on an NSF funded research grant, “Rehearsing Disaster: Understanding Earthquake Preparation Behavior in an Interactive Environment” and is co-designer of three educational video games. Sebok is also the creator of “Phish Tales: An Oral History Project”, the first oral history project centered around rock and roll music fandom. He enjoys live concerts at The Gorge and MSG, and is always looking for spare NYE tickets.
