Staff Council officially launched at L&C in July 2024 with a core group of nine exempt staff members, elected by their colleagues. Our mission is to serve as a forum for exchanging ideas, sharing information, and creating opportunities for staff. Since September, our monthly Open Staff Council meetings have been a great success, drawing strong participation from staff and other L&C employees.
As part of our staggered leadership structure, three members of our current Staff Council team are transitioning off as planned, and we’re looking for three new members to step in!
We are seeking nominations from three new people to represent their respective campus areas:
- Commons Services
- College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)
- Graduate School
Nominations will close on Friday, April 11.
Who can apply?
Exempt staff from these areas are encouraged to self-nominate. Later in April, exempt staff in these units will vote for their representatives, who will serve a three-year term.
What’s next?
Newly elected Staff Council members will attend a transitional leadership meeting (lunch provided!) on May 20 at noon.
