About the Proposed Increase
NW Natural has requested a $61.2 million revenue increase. If approved, residential customers using an average of 47 therms per month could see a $5.55 monthly bill increase. The proposed rate hikes are:
- Single-family residential: +6.8%
- Multi-family residential: +7.0%
- Commercial: +6.3%
- Industrial: +2.2%
NW Natural cites inflation, interest rates, and infrastructure costs as reasons for the increase. The PUC will review the proposal to determine if these changes are justified. A final decision is expected in October 2025, with new rates potentially taking effect November 1, 2025.
