Before auditioning read the play - available HERE.

**Content Warning: the play contains scenes of violence including murder and references to suicide.

WHAT TO PREPARE

  • Choose ONE monologue from the three sides to prepare for the audition.
    • In your preparation of the text, think about why the character is saying this text, what do they want?
    • Be sure you know what you are saying - look up anything you don’t know.
    • Be brave! Make bold choices! Strong and wrong is better than safe and right.
    • Copies of the audition material are available on the Theatre Callboard in Fir Acres.
    • Prepare a short (less than 1 minute) acapella song that is meaningful to you. It is less important that you are able to hit all the notes and more important that you convey your connection to the piece.
