Stellar reviews for THE REFUGEE OCEAN include a write-up from the United Nations High Commission on Refugees which states: “As the chapters flip between Marguerite’s and Naïm’s stories, they show the spectrum of different experiences that refugees can have. But the desire for safety, shelter, and connection remains the same.”
Shelf Awareness calls THE REFUGEE OCEAN “gloriously symphonic;” Library Journal says it is “both thoughtful and seamlessly executed,” and Booklist raves that “Toutonghi’s evocative prose captures the power of music and the ongoing struggles of grief.”
If you’re in Portland on November 20th at 6pm, be sure to drop by Broadway Books and say hello to Pauls!
