Fall Semester 2024 Transportation & Parking Updates

Parking Permits and Enforcement

• Parking Permits are currently on sale and available via the parking portal.
• Annual Permit: $389
• Fall Semester Permit: $195
• Freshman Parking Prohibited
• Exemption may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
• Commuter students are exempt and may purchase a permit.
• Parking Enforcement begins on Tuesday, September 3.
• Unregistered vehicles that accrue 2+ citations will be subject to vehicle being booted.
• Students are limited to one vehicle per permit.
• If you need a second vehicle added you may request by emailing parking@lclark.edu detailing the need.
• Permits with multiple vehicles may only have one vehicle on campus at a time. Violators will be subject to citation.
• Carpool spaces will be more strictly monitored this year.
• Fountain Gateway Church will be open M-Sat to park starting Tuesday, Sept 3. Permits are still required.

New Day Pass System

• A new day pass system will be launched in the next month or two.
• QR code Signs will be placed in all major parking lots on all 3 campuses.
• Scan QR code or use text option to purchase.
• Day Pass Cost: $5.75

Pio Express Shuttle

• Pio Express Shuttle has resumed operations.
• We have added 15 additional operating days which will cover breaks and holidays with the exception of winter break.
• “Pioneer Express” App available on iOS and Google Play stores.

TriMet

• TriMet monthly and 10 packs of 2.5 hour passes available at 75% discount if purchased through the parking portal.
• Monthly Pass Discounted Rate: $25
• 10 pack of 2.5 hour passes Rate: $7
• Primary bus line is the 35T.
• LC and TriMet worked closely this summer to move the 35T bus stop to a safer location on the traffic circle near the Law Campus.
• TriMet Trip Planner is a great tool when planning a trip.

ZipCar

• LC students are eligible for reduced cost ZipCar Membership.
• $9.50/hr
• $79/day
• Three ZipCars on campus parked in Upper Fowler nearer the Gate #5 entrance.

Bikes

• Bike’s left in bike rooms this past summer had to be removed and stored by the T&P office due to construction of the residential bike rooms. If you’re missing your bike, please reach out to parking@lclark.edu and provide a description of your bike. If we have your bike we will schedule a time to meet and claim. The following information would be helpful when wanting to claim a bike:
• Make/Model
• Color
• Location you left bike
• Photo
• Students have until Monday, September 9 by noon. All unclaimed bikes will be removed from campus.
