First-Generation Mentorship Program - Seeking Faculty, Staff & Alumni Mentors!
Calling all first-generation* staff, faculty and/or alum!
Consider being part of the Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement (IME)’s First-Generation* Mentorship Program during our second year of this new initiative!
Many of our mentors and student mentees have expressed appreciation for this program, we thank everyone who took part of this new mentorship program last year!
For the 2024-25 academic year, please consider signing up to serve as a faculty, staff or alumni first-generation mentor! We ask mentors and student mentees to check-in with each other at least once a month (via email, in-person, virtual or by phone) with hopes of building a relationship and a network beyond L&C. To learn more about this program and the learning outcomes for our student mentees, please see the link here.

*L&C defines first-generation as neither parents have earned a Bachelor’s degree. Here in IME, we know defining first-generation can get challenging as each individual has a unique story. We welcome any individual who think they would benefit from being part of the first-generation community to join us for learning, reflecting and community.
