Newly Endowed Scholarships Increase Access to Counseling Programs
Gifts to these funds provide direct support for professional mental health counseling students and art therapy students pursuing a master’s degree.
Caitlin Murphy Nash was a dedicated family and child therapist; Crystal Kaholokula an aspiring art therapist. Both were passionate about making a difference in their community by providing access to mental health services. Thanks to the love and generosity of their family and friends, both their legacies will live on at the graduate school.
The Caitlin Murphy Nash Scholarship and the Crystal Kaholokula Live Well Endowed Scholarship, established by Caitlin’s and Crystal’s families in their memory, support like-minded therapists in furthering the work that they both cared for so deeply. Offering direct support for professional mental health counseling students and art therapy students pursuing a master’s degree at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling, gifts to these funds also support the graduate school in our ongoing mission to increase access to our counseling programs. These scholarships contribute greatly to our success in recruiting and supporting students who come from historically underrepresented groups and who have some of the highest levels of financial need.
The Caitlin Murphy Nash Scholarship will begin to be distributed to PMHC students in Fall 2023. The Crystal Kaholokula Live Well Endowed Scholarship will begin to be distributed in Fall 2024. Eligible students will have the opportunity to apply once the scholarships begin to be distributed.
