main content COVID-19 Updates and Reminders for Spring Semester
From: Vice President Student Life
Dear Students,
As the start of spring semester approaches, and as many of you prepare to travel back to campus, we want to remind you of our current COVID-19 mitigation strategies. These expectations are outlined in the COVID-19 Pledge, and help protect you, your fellow students, and Lewis & Clark faculty and staff.
Please continue to practice good hand hygiene and keep a supply of masks on hand. We strongly encourage you to continue to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and test if you become symptomatic. Free antigen tests are available in the Health Promotion suite located in Templeton 110 or in the Campus Safety office. If you test positive for COVID-19 prior to returning to campus, we advise that you complete your 5-day isolation period at an off-campus site. Please also complete the Student Positive COVID Test (PCT) Form. Our continued diligence around COVID-19 mitigation strategies will be imperative as we will have fewer isolation beds for high-risk individuals due to the Stewart and Odell renovations beginning in January 2023.
Lewis and Clark’s COVID Vaccination Policy
All members of the Lewis & Clark community are required to have received a full primary dose of a COVID vaccination plus a first booster (if eligible). We strongly encourage community members to stay fully up-to-date with their COVID vaccines by receiving all booster doses recommended for their age group by the CDC. Click here to find a vaccination site near you.
Thank you for continuing to do everything you can to keep our community healthy and vibrant. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact covid19info@lclark.edu.
We are excited to see all of you back on campus!

COVID-19 Policy Updates for 2023–24
Over the past three years, Lewis & Clark successfully developed and implemented safe and effective prevention tools to keep our community healthy and united in the face of the COVID pandemic. Now that the public health emergency for COVID-19 has expired, it is time to again change our approach in response to changing conditions.
Based on recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Oregon Health Authority, and Multnomah County Health Department, we have simplified and updated many of our COVID policies and requirements. We revised our COVID-19 Information webpage reflects those changes. This page will be kept current and remain our main resource for COVID information throughout the coming academic year.
Student COVID Pledge
The following COVID pledge provides an overview of expectations for students as members of the Lewis & Clark community. All undergraduate students were required to sign the pledge before starting classes and moving into the residence halls during the 2022–23 academic year.
