Filing a Report
What happens when I file a report?
You will get an email inviting you to discuss your option. Your choices include:
Do I want a disciplinary process involving consequences for the offending party?
File a formal complaint to the Title IX coordinator, requesting a full investigation and hearing.
- Full interview with an investigator about what happened, and identify witnesses
- Review everything the investigator gathered
- Attend a hearing with an advisor and support person, and answer questions that come up in the hearing
- Receive the decision after the hearing, and appeal if the decision was flawed
Title IX coordinators can help with supportive measures provided on campus.
- No Contact Order
- Class scheduling
- Housing-related concerns
- Sports-team concerns
Are there other options?
You can choose multiple options for support and action. Other options include:
